
Ran serves as
the Chief Medical Officer of Medial EarlySign. Founded in 2009, Medial
EarlySign applies advanced mathematical algorithms and artificial intelligence
technology to detect early warning signals and health risks in simple medical
data across billions of dormant medical records, spanning decades of
information. By exposing these hidden signs, EarlySign helps practitioners and
healthcare organizations to identify critical threats, leading to potentially
life-changing diagnoses for millions of patients every single day.
Ran is a board
certified gynecologic oncologist, committed to changing patient care and making
precision medicine a reality. Over the last decade and a half, Ran served as a
consultant to several venture capital firms and institutional investors
regarding their investments in life sciences. He was Chief Medical
Officer of dbMotion, an international Health IT company, and later CEO of
GIView, a medical device start up. He founded Eliaso, the world’s most
exclusive organization devoted to the needs of patients facing life-threatening
diseases.
Ran holds an MD
from the Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
He earned his board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Hadassah
Mount Scopus Hospital and was later certified as a Gynecologic Oncologist at
the University of Toronto. He earned a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University,
his thesis focusing on a model of cell-cell interaction in cancer development.
Ran published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals, as well as
several chapters in books dealing with cancer and genetics.
